The controller is a standard modern handheld gamepad, with a directional pad and AB, XY control buttons. Not very nostalgic, but far easier to use than the original rectangular gamepad, with the funny little metal disc and the side buttons. I don't know what it is, but there is something about the simple pleasure of pixilated graphics and tinny electronic beeping sound effects that can't be beat by all of the new high tech, 3D, mega player, VR, next generation games of today.
